WP Video Popup PRO for Multiple WordPress Video Popups
WP Video Popup PRO displays videos in a responsive lightbox after a visitor activates a page element. The shortcode identifies the video; the wp-video-popup CSS class marks the link, button or other element that opens it. Add this setup to a page, post, custom post type or template file.

Video sources and PRO controls
The shortcode process accepts YouTube, Vimeo and Rumble video URLs. PRO also supports self-hosted videos, multiple popups per page and video galleries. Separate triggers can open different videos, while galleries group video content.
- Start playback automatically when a popup opens.
- Adjust popup size and customize the overlay background color.
- Use several popups on one page, create galleries or open self-hosted videos.
Videos connect only after a visitor triggers the lightbox. The product description identifies this click-to-load behavior as performance optimized and GDPR compliant.
Shortcode settings and browser behavior
Use [wp-video-popup video="VIDEO_URL"], replacing VIDEO_URL with the video address. Add mute="1" to mute playback, start="24" to begin at 24 seconds, or portrait="1" for a portrait Vimeo video. Browser autoplay policies can require muted playback. For YouTube, related videos cannot be hidden; videos from the same channel may appear. Developers can use the wp_video_popup filter to add embed URL parameters, such as an option to remove YouTube branding.
