Translate the catalog and shopping flow

Translate simple, variable, grouped, and external products, as well as product categories and attributes. Translation can also cover cart, payment form, checkout, and confirmation pages; customer reviews; emails to clients and administrators; URL slugs and endpoints; and theme or plugin strings.

WPML supports AI Translation through PTC (Private Translation Cloud). Machine translation is also available through DeepL, Google Translate, and Microsoft Translator.

Localize SEO and store URLs

Multilingual SEO capabilities include hreflang tags, localized sitemaps, and meta translation. You can translate store URL bases for products, product categories, product tags, and product attributes.

Some themes and plugins provide checkout text through localization documents. To manage those strings, scan the relevant theme or plugin in WPML > Theme and Plugins Localization, then edit the resulting strings in WPML > String Translation.

Configure currencies and payments

The WooCommerce integration lets you add currencies and display prices in more than 200 currencies. Add a currency switcher to product pages or widgets, displayed as a list or dropdown with a currency name, symbol, or code. Styling options include a background color and custom CSS.

Currency display can follow the customer's location or the site's language. Set exchange rates manually or connect to a source that updates them monthly, weekly, daily, or hourly. You can also set custom product prices and shipping rates in secondary currencies, and select various payment methods for each currency.
