WPQUADS PRO is the paid WordPress edition of the WPQuads ad inserter and AdSense management add-on. Its options panel lets you make ads, pick a vendor or code type, set ad sizes, and configure placement and display conditions.

Ad formats and placements

Manage unlimited ads in fixed or responsive sizes. Add picture banners or custom HTML, adjust alignment and margins, and place a custom label above or below an ad. Custom HTML supports automatic AMP sanitization. Sidebar widgets can hold unlimited ads.

Place ads at the beginning, middle, or end of posts; after a selected paragraph or image; after the More tag; before the last paragraph; by word count or page percentage; after an HTML tag such as p, img, or a heading; or between posts in a loop. Paragraph, tag, and loop placements can repeat at a chosen interval. Shortcodes and PHP tags provide additional placement methods.

Visibility and targeting

Include or exclude ads by post, page, post type, homepage, category, tag, post format, taxonomy term, page template, or visitor role. Other targeting conditions include device, browser, language, login status, user agent, cookie, URL parameter, referrer, URL path, and browser width. Geo targeting lets you select cities and countries.

Ad networks and reporting

For Google AdSense, supported ad types include Display, In-feed, In-article, and Auto ads. The plugin also supports Google Ad Manager, formerly DoubleClick for Publishers, and vendors including Yandex Direct, MGID, Taboola, Media.net, MediaVine, Outbrain, and Infolinks. Propeller Ads is also supported.

Group ads for rotation, use reports to compare ad performance and locations, and review click logs with approximate details such as the page, IP address, browser, referrer, and ad dimensions. Click fraud protection helps address fraudulent clicks. The plugin lists revenue-sharing support and states that it does not take a share of Google AdSense ad revenue.

Publishing and site utilities

AMP integrations include AMPforWP and Official AMP by Google, and Web Stories integration supports ads in AMP Web Stories. Other functions include background ads, ads.txt support, lazy loading for AdSense ads, WPML support for showing different ads by language, and ad blocker notices. Notices can appear as a bar, popup, page redirection, or block message, either once or on every visit.

Additional tools include sellable ad space, hiding ads for premium members, skippable ads, group insertion, and one-click ad duplication.

Configuration and performance

Use the React-based options panel to configure ads. Ajax search helps locate them, while import and export tools help move ad configurations and code between sites. WPQUADS PRO supports WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, and other caching add-ons. Its serialized ad-option storage and execution-based code loading are designed to keep the management system lightweight and extensible.
