Proofreading for WordPress teams

WProofreader Pro checks website content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style while authors work in WordPress. Pro supports unlimited sites and has no daily word limits, which suits teams managing content across multiple sites.

Alongside spelling and grammar checks in dozens of languages, the add-on includes AI-powered text rephrasing and proofreading, autocomplete suggestions, and autocorrect for common typos. Predefined style checks cover non-inclusive language and profanity.

Choose how to review

Check as you type

This mode detects writing issues as authors compose or edit. Suggestions appear on hover, so writers can review corrections in context.

Proofread in a dialog

This mode gathers detected issues and available suggestions in one place. Writers can review a complete piece of content and work through its spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style findings.

Language and terminology

The plugin's broader language functionality supports more than 20 languages. Pro spelling and grammar checks are available in dozens of languages. Specialized medical spelling dictionaries are available for English, German, French, and Spanish; a legal spelling dictionary is available for English.

Personal dictionaries

Users can add complex words, acronyms, and proper names to a custom dictionary. Added words are no longer treated as misspellings and can appear in the suggestions list. Depending on the setup, personal entries are stored in browser local storage or the cloud and can be used from the browser.

Organization dictionaries and style rules

Subscription owners can create organization-level dictionaries, and administrators can add terminology related to the organization's culture, industry, or domain. These words are available to organization visitors across connected sites. A style guide builder lets teams create language rules.
