Social Warfare - Pro is a paid add-on for the Social Warfare sharing add-on for WordPress. It adds networks and controls for choosing where sharing buttons appear and what readers share.
Choose networks and button placements
The main add-on supports Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Mix. Pro adds Reddit, Tumblr, Yummly, WhatsApp, Pocket, Buffer, Hacker News, Flipboard and Email. Place buttons above or below post content, in both positions, or manually. Floating buttons can follow readers when static buttons are out of view.
Set social previews and image settings
For Facebook, LinkedIn and other services that use Open Graph data, set the image, title and description shown with a share. Pinterest can use a dedicated image and custom description. The Image Hover Pin Button places a Pin control over content images when readers move the mouse over them.
Write a custom tweet for Twitter shares. Social Warfare automatically adds the content link and your @username to the share box. The plugin also supports Facebook author and publisher attribution, Twitter author and publisher attribution, Twitter Cards with large images, and Rich Pin readiness.
Style buttons and manage counts
Choose from six button shapes and eight color themes, or set custom button colors. Click to Tweet has six styles, with the option to make a custom style using your theme’s CSS. Share counts can be displayed, hidden, or shown only after they reach a chosen minimum.
Share Recovery can help retrieve counts after changes to permalink structure, domain prefix, connection protocol, or domain. Pro users can also reactivate, track and show Twitter tweet counts.
Show popular posts and tweetable quotes
The Popular Posts widget ranks content by overall share counts or counts from a selected network. Customize its thumbnails, image and text sizes, visual theme and date range. Click to Tweet lets you add tweetable quotes inside posts or pages.
Place buttons and track sharing
Use the [social_warfare] shortcode to place buttons manually. To have buttons on one page share a different URL, use [social_warfare post_id="3"], replacing 3 with the ID of the post or page to share. Developers experienced with PHP can also connect Social Warfare to theme templates.
When configured with your Bitly credentials, the plugin can shorten shared links. Google Analytics users can add network-specific UTM codes to shared links and enable event tracking for button clicks. Frame Buster is included to help protect content from hijackers who place ads over it without permission.
Install and configure
Install Social Warfare Pro in WordPress, then select the networks, button design, placements, share-count behavior and sharing details you need. Add Click to Tweet elements and manual placements where appropriate, then review the buttons and share settings before publishing.
