Messages, buttons, and placement
Each notification has a message and can include an optional button that opens a URL or executes JavaScript. Shortcodes in the message are processed for shortcode-based WordPress workflows.
Position a bar at the top or bottom of the page, or keep it fixed as a sticky bar. Display on Scroll controls when the notification becomes visible instead of showing immediately on page load. Set its height and colors to fit the content and site styling.
Visibility, timing, and visitor controls
Set a delay in seconds before the bar appears. You can provide a close button, set a time in seconds for the bar to close automatically, and display a Reopen Button so users can access the notification again after closing it.
Choose the pages and posts where each bar appears, and use user-role selection to show it to guest visitors or another selected group. Start and End dates define the notification's active period. If a message does not suit smaller screens, you can hide the bar on small devices.
Settings and preview
The bar does not display on wp-admin pages, except on the notification bar settings page, where it previews your changes. The plugin source states that the add-on does not collect personal information.
To set up a notification, open the plugin settings, make a notification, write its message, and optionally add a button. Choose its position and appearance, then configure timing, visitor controls, audience, and dates before selecting the pages or posts where it should appear. The settings information and troubleshooting resources associated with WPFront Notification Bar provide further help with settings and configuration.
