FileBird Document Library Pro for WordPress
FileBird Document Library Pro displays files from the WordPress Media Library in frontend document galleries. FileBird folders act as document categories. When you add, move, or remove files in those folders, the displayed gallery reflects the changes.
What does a FileBird library publish?
FileBird Document Library Pro displays files from the WordPress Media Library in frontend document galleries. FileBird folders act as document categories. When you add, move, or remove files in those folders, the displayed gallery reflects the changes.
Supported WordPress-hosted formats include PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, PPS, PPSX, ODT, XLS, XLSX, PSD, SVG, CAD, and DWG files; Apple formats such as .numbers and .pages; and ebook formats such as .prc, .epub, .mobi, .azw, and .djvu.
How can users browse folders?
The Pro edition adds a frontend folder directory with multi-level trees, nested folders, and breadcrumb navigation. Visitors can also browse with a sidebar folder tree. You can set the search scope, choose custom folder icons, and display extra metadata columns, including YouTube and external links.
Which library layouts and controls are available?
Create galleries from one or multiple folders, then choose a grid or list layout. Set a folder icon or custom title, limit the number of document entries per page, and let visitors switch between library sections. Sorting options include document name, modified date, and file size. Attachment links and a download button give visitors ways to access files.
Use the libraries for manuals, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, ebooks, styling files, or other documents stored in WordPress. Folders can group collections by department, topic, project, year, or another structure that fits the website.
What does setup require?
FileBird, either Free or Pro, must be installed and active at version 5.0 or higher for folder management and organization. Gutenberg is optional for creating and editing document galleries. A WordPress page builder with shortcode support is also optional for integration. The Pro edition supports use cases that need multiple libraries on different pages through page builders, alongside frontend folder directories and advanced navigation.
