File Manager Pro Edition for WordPress File Management
File Manager Pro Edition provides a workspace for files and folders in the WordPress backend. Set the root directory to include paths inside or outside the WordPress installation. Use the toolbar or context menu to upload, download, copy, move, make, rename, edit, or delete items. Drag and drop supports uploads, moves, and copies, and multiple selection lets you work with several files at once. Search, browsing history, keyboard shortcuts, and list or icon views help with navigation. FTP/SFTP support is available for processes that use those protocols.

Set access for users and roles
Assign private folders to various user roles or individual users. Shortcodes with custom attributes make the file manager available on the frontend. Administrators can control which file operations selected roles or users can perform, and conceal or lock files and folders for them. File type settings control uploads and downloads, and upload size can be limited.
Edit files and review supported content
Create and extract ZIP, RAR, TAR, and GZIP archives. The code editor offers multiple themes and a fullscreen view setting, while its syntax checker can review code before it is saved. The file manager also supports editing text files and pictures. Preview supported content such as PDFs, video, and audio, including MP3 files; images can display thumbnails. Get Info opens file details, and directory size calculations, email sharing, and a built-in trash area are also available. Deleted files can be moved to trash before removal.
Connect media and backup tasks to WordPress
An option lets images, PDFs, and ZIP files uploaded to selected folders become available in the native WordPress Media Library. Backup and restore covers theme files, extension files, the uploads folder, and database data on the server.
Use the responsive interface across devices
The interface supports desktop administration as well as tablet and mobile use. Multiple themes, list and icon views, previews, thumbnails, shortcuts, and drag-and-drop uploading support routine file tasks.
Install and configure the file manager
Install and activate File Manager Pro Edition in WordPress, then open the file manager from the backend. Set the root directory and configure file types, upload limits, user roles, individual users, private folders, and hidden items for the intended workflow. Then manage files, create shortcodes, edit code, preview content, or run backup and restore tasks with the available utilities.
