Set up and place a feed
- Install the Feeds for YouTube plugin and select Add New.
- Connect an account or add an API key.
- Build and customize the feed in the customizer.
- Copy the generated
[youtube-feed feed=1]shortcode. - Paste it into the page, post or widget where the feed should appear.
Choose videos and completion actions
- Use the YouTube Live API to show live streaming videos.
- Filter videos by keywords in their titles or descriptions.
- Display videos returned by the search endpoint.
- Combine multiple feeds in a single display.
- Set an action for when a video completes, such as displaying a product page link or thumbnails of other videos.
- Download video data into a custom post type so visitors can browse and view videos on your site.
Arrange the feed and playback
Choose a list, gallery, grid or carousel layout. Feeds can inherit your theme’s styles, adapt to mobile screens, and appear on different pages or in widgets. Add a header or a Load More button, and use custom CSS or JavaScript when the standard settings need more control.
The plugin retrieves and shows videos through the YouTube API. It adds the video player iframe after a visitor interacts with the feed, so the player does not load with the initial page view.
