Plugin Compatibility Checker reviews installed add-ons for PHP, database, and WordPress version compatibility. Entry Plan unlocks PHP compatibility results through PHP 8.5 and basic database version detection in WordPress admin with an activated license and a recurring $2/month subscription.

If a add-on shows “No Data,” compatibility details are unavailable for it. This can happen with custom or premium add-ons, or versions removed from the public extension directory.

Database checks and WordPress 7.0

The database check identifies the site’s MySQL or MariaDB version. WordPress 7.0 has stricter database requirements: MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+. An older database may affect future WordPress updates. Entry Plan shows basic version information; Pro includes upgrade-readiness analysis, risk information, and recommendations.

PHP security notices

The plugin checks whether the site’s PHP version appears on a list of known vulnerabilities. A notice shows the vulnerability name and CVE identifiers, with guidance to update PHP or contact the hosting provider. These notices are available to all visitors without a license.

Pro reporting

Pro adds the full CompatShield Portal Dashboard, with detailed compatibility results, vulnerability summaries, email notifications, historical analysis, and custom or premium plugin ZIP scanning.

Activate Entry Plan and scan

1. Subscribe through the CompatShield Portal.
2. Add your domain in the plugin’s License tab.
3. Copy the license key and paste it into the plugin settings.
4. Validate the license, then save the settings.
5. Open the plugin’s main page and click Rescan.

Rescan after installing or updating plugins to include them in the compatibility check. Without an activated license, visibility of compatibility results is limited.
