Bring order to a growing media library

WP MCM Premium helps organize WordPress attachments with categories and filters. Choose post categories, the dedicated MCM media categories, or a custom media taxonomy used by the site. You can assign categories one item at a time or in bulk, then filter the Media Library in List or Grid view.

Choose categories and set upload defaults

In the add-on settings, select the taxonomy for media and define the categories to use. Custom taxonomies assigned to attachments can be selected for the plugin’s category toggles and filters. To assign a default category to uploads, enable “Use Default Category,” choose the category, and then upload the media. The default is applied when an attachment without a category is added or edited, and it can also filter attachments shown by the [wp_mcm] shortcode.

Filter galleries and media by visitor

The WPMCM Gallery block filters media in galleries on posts and pages. The shortcode workflow can also use the WPMCM Gallery block layout. Premium includes per-user filtering in Media Library views and in media displayed through a block or shortcode.

Manage access and transfer category data

Site settings can allow or disallow users from managing media. Premium can export MCM categories and attachment information filtered by user. The exported information can be handled with WP Importer, including on websites without WP MCM Premium installed.

Folder organization

Media can be arranged in hierarchical folders, with an option to organize uploaded files into physical subdirectories.
