Translate WordPress pages in context
TranslatePress Premium extends TranslatePress with tools for managing a multilingual WordPress site. Work in the front-end visual editor and see translations on the page as you edit. It can translate page content and output from shortcodes, forms, page builders, Gutenberg blocks, themes, add-ons, and WooCommerce.
Choose manual translation, automatic translation, or a mix of both. Use automatic translation for an initial version, then review and refine the wording in the editor. Each premium version includes full TranslatePress AI access with a set number of AI-translated words. Google Translate can use your own API key, and you can enable or disable automatic translation. DeepL Automatic Translation is a separate add-on that uses the DeepL API.
TranslatePress AI sends page text, your license key, site URL, and language settings to its translation service. Requests can be triggered by front-end page visits. If you opt in, limited diagnostic and configuration data is sent to Cozmoslabs. When you configure Google Translate or DeepL with your own API key, site content is sent to that provider for translation.
Add languages and manage publication
Extra Languages lets you add an unlimited number of translation languages. Publish each language when its translations are complete. The SEO Pack translates page titles, descriptions, URL slugs, picture alt tags, and Twitter and Facebook Social Graph tags, and works with popular SEO plugins. Different Domain per Language lets you assign a separate domain to each added language.
- Translator Accounts let existing visitors or newly created accounts translate without administrator rights.
- Browse as User Role lets you view and translate content visible to a particular user role.
- Navigation Based on Language lets you configure various menu items for each language.
- Automatic User Language Detection can redirect first-time users to a preferred language based on browser settings or IP address.
Set up each language for visitors
Display the language switcher as a menu item, a floating dropdown, a Language Switcher block, or a shortcode. Choose whether language names appear in their native form or in English. You can make custom links open in the current language and enable or disable a URL subdirectory for the default language.
Translate images, sliders, and other media, along with dynamic gettext strings from WordPress, themes, and plugins. Translation Blocks group multiple HTML elements for translation. You can also show content conditionally by language, translate selected paths, or exclude content from translation. Gettext strings can be edited from English to English without adding another language.
Configure the translation process
Add TranslatePress Premium to your WordPress site, set the default and translation languages, and pick the tools that fit your workflow. Configure the translation method, language switcher, and optional URL settings, then open the front-end editor to review pages in context.
