Visual Portfolio Pro expands WordPress gallery and portfolio blocks for images, videos, posts, projects and albums. Choose masonry, justified, tiles, grid, slider or carousel layouts, then adjust the design with the editor’s live preview.

Build galleries from varied content

Add video entries directly to image galleries and post grids, with playback set to start when opened or on hover. Create nested galleries and album-style content in image galleries, posts and taxonomy grids, or use taxonomy terms such as categories and tags as a gallery source.

Social feeds can fetch posts from Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Unsplash, X, Flickr, Dribbble, Twitch, RSS and VK for display in a gallery. Quick View presents posts and pages in a popup iframe for a preview-style view of articles or projects.

Adjust skins and popup behavior

Skin controls cover image filters and blend modes for normal and hover states, image transformations and corner rounding, caption and overlay typography, and spacing. Add hover tilt, custom hover images or the Caption Move skin. Galleries display animated GIFs, with mouseover playback available in Pro.

Lightboxes work with Visual Portfolio galleries and standard WordPress images and galleries. Popup Gallery Deep Linking changes the URL when a popup opens, so users can link directly to a specific popup image.

Let visitors browse and filter

Update dynamic gallery content with AJAX loading and select infinite scroll, a Load More button or paged pagination. Visitors can filter by taxonomy and sort items by date or title. Adjustable gutters control the spacing between images and projects.

For post-based galleries, query settings can filter by author or date range, ignore sticky posts, exclude posts without featured images, and include or exclude selected posts. Advanced click actions control how entry types open and whether a click on the title or image triggers the action.

Support client proofing and gallery protection

Create a proofing gallery for a client, who can comment on individual photos and select images. After approval, review the selected photos and copy their filenames for post-production. Gallery protection settings include watermarks, password forms and an age gate.

Configure and publish

An optional Portfolio post type keeps portfolio entries separate from other post types; disable it when using the extension for photo galleries only. Responsive breakpoint settings let you choose the screen sizes used by automatic layout adjustments.

Gallery images use lazy loading and adaptive image sizes. The modular structure loads scripts and styles when a relevant gallery is displayed, and the extension supports third-party WebP providers and image optimization add-ons. Create a gallery block, select its source and layout, refine its settings in the live preview, then add it to a page or post.
