Backups you can schedule and restore
Everest Backup Pro manages WordPress site backups, restoration, migration, and cloning from the WordPress Dashboard. Create a backup manually or select a date and time for automatic backups. Premium options add more flexible scheduling and automatic retention settings for cloud storage. Backups can be restored with a single click.
Where backup documents are stored
Google Drive integration is available in the free version. Add-ons connect Dropbox, OneDrive, AWS Amazon S3, pCloud, and Backblaze. Once a supported service is connected and selected as a backup location, files can be uploaded to remote storage. Premium features let you download or delete cloud backup files from the Dashboard without signing in to the storage service separately.
You can configure local backup files to be removed after a successful cloud upload. Automatic removal can be set for a selected number of days, while cloud retention settings manage older remote files. Custom name tags help identify backup files.
How a migration key moves a website
Generate and copy a migration key on the source website, then paste it into the destination website and start the clone. This key process supports moving, migrating, or cloning a WordPress site without manually downloading and uploading its files.
Everest Backup Pro supports backup and restoration for WordPress Multisite, including the entire network; multisite support is available in the free version. Premium capabilities also include one-click rollback from remote cloud storage.
What can trigger backups and reports?
- Automatically start a backup after a WooCommerce order.
- Start a backup before a WordPress, extension, or theme update.
- Exclude unused images and media from backup files.
- Send backup status notifications and reports to multiple email recipients.
- Review human-readable logs and reports, including details about the last automatic backup process.
Set up the backup workflow
Install and activate Everest Backup Pro in WordPress, then open its settings from the Dashboard. Connect a cloud service, select a backup location, and configure manual or scheduled backups. Review logs, manage stored files, set retention or removal preferences, and choose email notification settings. To migrate a site, generate and copy the key on the source site, then enter it on the destination site.
