Browse PDFs and images as flipbooks
DearFlip Pro presents PDFs and image collections as interactive publications in WordPress. Choose a 3D or 2D flipbook, an image flipbook, a PDF viewer, or a slider that shows PDF pages as slides. These formats can suit catalogs, brochures, portfolios, reports, and other documents that people view page by page.
A PDF flipbook uses a link to the PDF file as its source. For an image flipbook, select a collection of images. You can place the finished flipbook in a page or post with a shortcode, or open it from a button, link, custom HTML, or image.
Match the viewing mode to the document
- 3D flipbook: Uses WebGL for a page-turning presentation of PDFs and images.
- 2D flipbook: Uses CSS and HTML5 for a simpler interactive book. The product information describes it as a faster-loading option when 3D effects are not needed, including on low-end devices.
- PDF viewer or embed: Displays a document in a format resembling a browser's embedded PDF viewer.
- PDF slider: Shows PDF pages as slides, which can suit documents with irregular layouts or formatting.
- Image flipbook: Turns a collection of images into a browsable visual presentation.
Right-to-left languages, including Arabic, are supported. PDF download controls can be enabled or disabled. Product information lists support for PDFs exceeding 1,000 pages and 500 MB.
Pro controls and presentation options
DearFlip Pro makes links included in PDFs clickable. It also lets you open flipbooks from buttons, links, custom HTML, or images, and group publications in bookshelves. Global options apply choices across flipbooks. For 3D presentations, you can choose realistic book covers or a spiral style.
Customize which viewer controls appear, adjust paper flexibility, translate controls and buttons, and set a custom share-link prefix. Other options include PDF link targets, the PDF media attachment page, mouse-scroll zoom, zoom ratio, and stage padding.
For large documents, partial loading lets pages load on demand, with a configurable PDF partial-loading size. Responsive book thumbnail options adjust how flipbook thumbnails are presented across show sizes. Google Analytics can track flipbook openings.
Set up and place a flipbook
Create a flipbook in WordPress, provide a PDF link or select images, then choose a viewing mode and configure its controls, download behavior, and loading options. Copy the generated shortcode into the page or post where the flipbook should appear. For multiple publications, create individual flipbooks and arrange them in a bookshelf; global settings can keep their presentation choices consistent.
