Choose what each slider displays

bSlider Pro extends bSlider, a WordPress slider add-on for pictures, posts, WooCommerce products, videos, and slides built from Gutenberg blocks. Add a slider in the block editor or place it with a shortcode. Block-built slides can combine familiar elements such as headings, images, buttons, and columns.

The Template Library offers more than 50 ready-made sliders to import and personalize. Pro's Style with AI can set colors, typography, buttons, and arrows from a one-sentence description. With your own Google Gemini key, it can also draft slide titles, descriptions, button labels, and alt text from an picture.

Bring in feeds or WordPress fields

For external content, choose a YouTube channel, Instagram account, RSS feed, or JSON endpoint, then set a schedule for caching feed results. Presets include channel grid, player grid, theater, reels, card, and hover-overlay formats. YouTube controls can filter by search term, playlist, or privacy status, group results, and set thumbnail quality. A profile header card can show a name, picture, follower count, and Follow button. YouTube and Instagram feeds require their respective credentials; other sources do not require those credentials.

Dynamic Content binds a post or product to a slide and adds Post Field blocks. Each field can draw from its own post, so one slide can combine several sources. Convert a Post Field into a Heading, Paragraph, or Image block to edit it in the block editor. Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) is optional. Pro works with unlimited ACF fields per slide, field-based sorting and filtering, and mapping fields to slide images, titles, descriptions, or buttons. The ACF panel appears when a field group's location rules target the post type the slider queries.

Sliders can also use any registered custom post type. Choose which posts or products to include or exclude, or exclude the current post from its own slider. Product and post slides can show badges such as a publish date, author, price, or sale discount.

Set the layout and movement

Choose a carousel, grid, thumbnails, or list layout according to how you want entries arranged and navigated. Carousels can loop and autoplay horizontally or vertically. Grids offer adjustable row and column gaps, while thumbnail navigation has its own direction, arrows, borders, and overlays. Grid pagination can use standard buttons or Load More. Pro adds ticker and 3D carousel effects, mouse-wheel navigation, drag-to-slide interaction, and arrows that follow the cursor.

Transitions include fade, slide, and flip, with additional slider transition effects in Pro. Set autoplay on or off, choose a duration per slide, and pause movement on hover. Adjust arrows, indicators, overlays, content position, backgrounds, borders, radius, padding, and alignment. Pro also adds separate standard and hover colors, pagination positioning, and margin and padding controls throughout the slider.

Animate and adapt slide content

Layer animations control how individual blocks enter and leave a slide. Set a delay and duration, animate heading or paragraph text one word at a time, or give a word its own background and border. Pulse and Bounce loop animations are available, with Float, Flash, Shake, and Swing added in Pro. A Lottie JSON animation can play as a slide arrives. Hover actions can grow, lift, fade, or change a layer's colors; click actions can open a link, scroll, or move the slider.

Typography settings apply to slide content and layers. Device-specific visibility lets you hide a layer on selected screen sizes or show it without animation. Pro can also defer offscreen images. Custom HTML wrapper tags, such as h1 through h6, are available for slide content.

Configure video and image viewing

Video options include popup playback, autoplay, looping, muted starts, reset on end, and controls that hide while the visitor is idle. The player can include play and pause, mute, rewind, fast-forward, progress, current time, and duration. Pro adds mute, picture-in-picture, AirPlay, download, and fullscreen controls. The mini player can dock in a corner as a visitor scrolls, and hover preview can play within a video slide.

Clicking an image can open it in a lightbox gallery. Images, posts, and products can use the lightbox across layouts. Set the caption, backdrop, and toolbar, which can include a counter, thumbnail strip, zoom, slideshow, fullscreen, rotate, flip, and download. Pro adds per-slide lightbox controls, a various lightbox image for each device, caption styling, a glass effect, a maximum image size, and a choice of whether the gallery loops.

Add and prepare a slider

Install bSlider in WordPress, add the bSlider block or use its shortcode where the slider should appear, then choose a content source and layout. Configure the available feed, dynamic content, styling, animation, navigation, and responsive settings. Reorder slides by drag and drop, preview the result, and publish.
