Blocks, sections and layouts
Genesis Blocks includes tools for arranging page content, including Section & Layout, Advanced Columns, Container, Newsletter, Pricing, Post Grid, Testimonial, Accordion, Inline Notice, Share Icons, Call-To-Action, Spacer & Divider, Author Profile, and Drop Cap blocks. Genesis Pro includes two blocks, 26 pre-built full-page layouts, and 56 pre-built sections. Choose a starting design in the editor, then adapt it to the page. You can also save your own sections and layouts to reuse across pages.
Permissions and Genesis products
Advanced block-level user permissions let website teams manage editing access to particular blocks. The subscription also includes access to and support for the Genesis Framework and all 35 StudioPress-made premium child themes, along with additional advanced features for the rest of the Genesis Product Suite.
Genesis Blocks works with any theme. StudioPress recommends Gutenberg-ready themes such as Revolution for its presentation. Google AMP support is built into each block.
Button block behavior
The Genesis Blocks Button block is deprecated in favor of the WordPress Core Buttons block. Opening a post in the block editor triggers automatic conversion of its Genesis Blocks Button blocks. Until you open the editor, conversion does not occur. Custom styling may change during conversion, particularly when it targets classes other than gb-block-button.
Getting started
- Install and activate Genesis Blocks in WordPress.
- Open the block editor and select a section or full-page layout.
- Adjust the design with Genesis Blocks, then save useful custom sections or layouts for reuse.
- Apply block-level permissions when different users need different editing access.
