Post rules for targeted cleanup
Choose posts by category, tag, custom taxonomy, custom post type, comment count, URL, author, or user role. PRO adds rules for custom fields, titles, duplicate titles, content, attachment presence, and posts already in the trash. You can also choose posts by status, including published, draft, pending, private, and scheduled posts.
For supported post rules, narrow the selection by date, public or private visibility, or a maximum number of matching posts. Choose to move matches to the trash or delete them permanently. Automatic post deletion can be scheduled in PRO.
Page, user, and record rules
Page rules cover published, draft, pending, private, scheduled, and trashed pages. Supported page operations also offer date, visibility, quantity, deletion-method, and scheduling settings.
- Users: Select by role, user meta fields, time since last login, or registration date.
- Revisions: Delete all post revisions.
- Attachments: Delete attachments with PRO.
- Meta fields: Remove post, comment, or user meta fields.
- Jetpack: Delete Contact Form Messages.
Choose the deletion method before running a rule
Select a content type and condition, then add available filters to narrow the matching records. For supported post and page rules, choose whether to move matches to the trash or delete them permanently. You can also schedule automatic post or page deletion where that option is available. Posts moved to the trash can be found there; permanently deleted posts cannot be retrieved.
Installation and server limits
Install and activate Bulk Delete in WordPress, open its administration settings, and select the relevant deletion section. Configure the conditions and filters, then select the available deletion method or schedule. A blank page during an operation involving many posts may indicate an underpowered server. Check the PHP error log for errors such as a script timeout or memory exhaustion.
Bulk Delete PRO support is provided by email; the free version uses the support forums.
