Pro adds a horizontal layout, category filters, multimedia, and more ways to personalize and navigate timeline stories.

Choose from four layouts

Select Vertical Timeline, Vertical Compact Timeline, Vertical One-Side Timeline, or Horizontal Timeline. Each layout includes more than six design styles, such as Classic, Modern, and Elegant, with Light, Dark, and Colorful skins. The free version supports vertical timelines; the horizontal layout is available in Pro.

Set the order, dates, and story details

Arrange stories from oldest to newest or newest to oldest, and choose a date format. Custom labels can replace dates for process steps or historical periods such as AD and BC. You can create multiple timelines for various subjects, set colors for individual stories, and choose whether to show a summary or the full description.

Align story content left, right, or center. Use icons, custom icons, pictures, or simple dots to mark entries, and add animation effects as items appear. Pagination controls how many stories show at a time; Ajax Load More and scrolling navigation help visitors move through longer timelines.

Add media and category filters

Timeline stories can include images, videos, and slideshows. Category filters let visitors sort stories by category, and blog posts can be displayed in a timeline layout by date. HTML and links are also supported in stories, including Read More links.

Place timelines with your editor

Cool Timeline Pro supports Gutenberg, WPBakery, Bricks Builder, and the Classic Editor. Use the Gutenberg block or smart shortcode generator to add a timeline to a page or post without manually writing the shortcode. Elementor and Divi customers can create timelines with additional plugins.
