Additional Variation Images Gallery for WooCommerce Premium
Additional Variation Images Gallery for WooCommerce Premium links gallery images to individual product variations. When a shopper selects a color, size, style, finish, or another option, the product page can show images assigned to that variation. If none are assigned, WooCommerce falls back to the product’s default picture.

Images for each variation
The free version supports a couple of extra images per variation beyond the default image. Premium removes that limit, allowing unlimited images per variation. Select images individually or in bulk from the WordPress Media Library, then drag them into the order you want. Alternate views, close-ups, and lifestyle photos can show different details of each option.
Video in variation and product galleries
Video is a Premium capability. Add YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted video alongside images in variation galleries. Video can also be added to simple, grouped, and external or affiliate product galleries. Featured video is supported for variable, simple, grouped, and external or affiliate products; on variable products, shoppers can see it before selecting a variation. Video width and height are adjustable.
When a YouTube or Vimeo embed loads, the shopper’s browser connects directly to that service, which may receive the shopper’s IP address, browser or device information, and viewing activity. The plugin stores the video URL in the website’s WordPress database and does not send customer, order, or store data to those services. Self-hosted videos do not connect to a third-party service.
Gallery layout and browsing controls
Set gallery width separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Place thumbnails to the left, right, or bottom of the main image. A thumbnail slider keeps a longer image set from wrapping into extra rows. You can choose to show 2 to 8 thumbnails at once and adjust the spacing between them.
Other controls include an automatic image slideshow, slide or fade transitions, and navigation arrows for the main image and thumbnail slider. Zoom is enabled by default and can be turned off. The lightbox opens a larger image view, with its icon placed in any of the four corners. You can also choose a preloader style, hide WooCommerce’s default featured image while variation images are displayed, and disable the gallery for product types where it is not needed.
Plan and website coverage
Premium is a paid upgrade offered through yearly Starter, Business, and Developer plans, as well as lifetime license options. The supplied plan information does not specify differences in functions between plans. License pricing depends on the number of sites covered. Each Premium purchase includes one year of support and updates.
Setup and compatibility
Open a variable product in WooCommerce and add images to each variation through its product settings. Use individual or bulk image selection, set the gallery controls, then preview the product page at different device sizes. The add-on also includes a migration tool for importing variation image data from supported gallery plugins, and its gallery images are available through the WooCommerce REST API for headless stores and custom integrations.
Compatibility is listed for popular WooCommerce themes including Flatsome, OceanWP, Astra, Divi, Avada, Storefront, BeTheme, and Shopkeeper. Some heavily customized themes may need a small CSS adjustment.
