Calendars and schedules
Visitors can add events to Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Microsoft 365, Outlook, or Teams. For other calendar applications, including Apple Calendar, the button can generate iCal or ICS documents.
Supported schedules include timed and all-day events, one-time and multi-date events, and recurring events. Time zone and daylight saving handling are supported, along with dynamic dates such as today + 3.
Manage event responses and sharing
From the app, turn a calendar button into an RSVP form with one click. Add to Calendar PRO can also create auto-generated event landing pages and shareable event links. It provides guidance for visitors when a calendar action runs into a problem.
Connect WordPress fields
Link event fields to WordPress meta fields, ACF fields, or shortcodes. Available fields include start date, start time, end date, end time, start date and time, end date and time, name, description, location, and time zone. Use mf- for meta fields, acf- for ACF fields, and sc- for shortcodes. Use wp-title to connect a field to the page title.
Styling and interaction
Choose from multiple themes and dark or light mode, then adjust colors and other styling controls. Labels and text blocks are customizable. The interface works with desktop and mobile use, dynamically positioned dropdowns, and mouse, touch, and keyboard input. It includes more than 20 languages, including right-to-left Arabic text, and generates Schema.org structured data for events.
Setup and license
Install and activate the WordPress plugin, then add the button with the shortcode or Gutenberg Block. For Pro use, create or choose an event in the app and connect it using the event ID or ProKey. Configure event details, styling, and any field mappings before publishing the button or generated event page.
The script that generates the button uses the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2). The license prohibits reworking the core script and providing button generation to others as a managed service. The source describes this restriction as unlikely to affect typical use.
