Conditional Fields Pro: Dynamic Contact Form 7 Workflows
Conditional Fields Pro extends conditional form workflows in Contact Form 7. It suits applications, service requests, questionnaires and registrations where later questions depend on earlier answers.
Show fields as answers change

Add the “Conditional fields Group” tag to a form and place the relevant fields between its start and end tags. Groups are hidden by default. Create conditions in the “Conditional fields” tab to show a group when its conditions match. Groups can be nested, and required fields inside hidden groups do not trigger validation errors.
Pro utilities for longer or more involved forms
- Repeatable fields: Let visitors add multiple entries of the same general type.
- Multistep forms: Divide a longer form into steps.
- Calculated fields: Derive values from submitted form information.
- JavaScript conditions: Use JavaScript functions for advanced conditional behavior.
- Multiple file uploads: Let visitors upload multiple files through a form.
Match email content to the form path
Wrap email content in a group tag to show it when the corresponding group is visible, using the same group name in the opening and closing tags: [group-name] ... [/group-name]. To show content only while a group is hidden, use the inverted form: [!group-name] ... [/!group-name]. Groups can also be nested in email content.
Set up and check your form
Install the Conditional Fields components alongside Contact Form 7. Edit the form, wrap fields in conditional groups, then open the “Conditional fields” tab and make the conditions. Configure the Pro features your form needs, and add matching group tags to the email template if its content should depend on visibility.
Hidden fields are still submitted with the form, so give every field a unique name, including fields in groups that are never visible at the same time. If groups stay visible or fail to respond, check the browser console for JavaScript errors. The conditional scripts load at the bottom of the page, so an earlier JavaScript error can prevent them from running. The theme must also call wp_footer() for those scripts to load. Disabling add-ons gradually and testing another theme can help identify a conflict.
