Redirects, records and data requests
- Redirect visitors: Send people to a page or URL after submission. You can open the destination in a new tab and pass submitted fields as URL query parameters. Choose fields that are appropriate to include in a URL.
- Store submissions: Save entries in the WordPress database for later reference, and add email notifications to the process.
- Reduce spam: Add honeypot protection without asking visitors to complete another challenge.
- Handle personal data requests: Create requests to export or erase personal data for GDPR-related workflows.
Conditional actions and custom follow-up
The PRO edition supports If/Or rules based on visitor input, so submission actions can take different paths according to the information provided. It can also execute JavaScript after a successful submission for conversion tracking and analytics-related tasks.
Webhook actions connect forms to third-party applications using POST, GET, DELETE or PATCH methods, with PARAMS, JSON and XML formats. You can generate and send PDFs from submitted fields, allow users to publish posts from the website’s front end, or display a thank-you popup after submission.
Marketing, payments and customer records
Register submitted forms with Mailchimp lists, or redirect users to PayPal or Stripe for payment. Send form submissions to HubSpot CRM or Salesforce CRM. Twilio integration can send SMS messages to users or notifications to your team.
These options fit workflows such as sending donors to personalized thank-you pages, routing real estate inquiries according to submitted details, passing support requests to a CRM, creating PDFs from form data, or collecting assignments and other posts through frontend publishing.
Setup and compatibility
Install and activate the plugin, then open the settings for the form you want to configure. Select the Action tab and add the required submission actions. Configure each action for the form’s purpose, then test the submission path, including redirects, notifications, connected services and generated files. Contact Form 7 version 4.8 or later is required.
