Present work in category-based galleries

Portfolio Filter Gallery Premium organizes WordPress images and embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos into collections visitors can view by category. Create filters in the management area, then assign one or more filters to each gallery item. Photographers, designers, agencies, architects, artists, freelancers, bloggers, and businesses can use these galleries to present their work.

Set up category views and filter combinations

URL-based filtering can link directly to a category view. A default filter opens the gallery with a selected category active. Visitors can combine filters using AND or OR logic, while parent-child structures group related categories. Display filters as standard buttons or use dropdown menus or a sidebar panel. Live search looks for items within the displayed collection.

Choose a layout for each screen

Arrange gallery items in a masonry or standard grid with two, three, or four columns and adjustable spacing. Set column counts separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Custom thumbnail dimensions, card layouts with titles below images, and optional picture numbering badges provide further display controls.

Choose from six filter button styles: Buttons, Pills, Minimal, Outline, Underline, and Flat. Available hover effects include Zoom, Fade, Slide Up, and Blur. Gallery options also include unlimited filter button color schemes, custom filter colors, borders, grayscale hover effects, and titles.

Manage order and viewing

Sort items in ascending or descending order, or use the shuffle button to randomize their display. For larger galleries, choose pagination or a load more option. Add an image watermark overlay for copyright protection. The lightbox includes navigation, captions, and deep linking for focused image viewing.

Place and edit a gallery

Select a gallery with a live preview using the dedicated Gutenberg block or Elementor widget. Shortcodes support placement in WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, widgets, custom HTML blocks, and themes. Gallery management includes drag-and-drop image reordering, bulk image selection, and individual editing of titles, descriptions, links, and filters.

Create and insert a gallery

1. Install Portfolio Filter Gallery Premium in WordPress and open Portfolio Gallery in the administration menu.
2. Create filters, add or select gallery media, and assign categories to each item.
3. Choose the layout and display settings, then insert the gallery with Gutenberg, Elementor, a supported shortcode, or another available placement method.
