Review website statistics
The dashboard widget can show online visitors, visits, actions, bounce rates, organic searches, and average time. The custom dashboard can show the top 30 pages, referrers, and searches in sortable columns. Basic website statistics are also available from the Administration Dashboard.
A cache capability is available to improve loading speeds. Access-level settings control who can view the statistics, and an option can display them on the frontend at the end of each article.
Configure tracking
When tracking is enabled, the plugin automatically inserts Clicky Web Analytics tracking code on each page. You can configure cookieless tracking and asynchronous loading, or disable the tracking code. Other settings cover tracking user names and email addresses, as well as video actions for YouTube and HTML5 videos. Video analytics and custom data tracking require a Clicky Analytics Pro account.
Privacy controls
Available controls include IP address anonymization, a global opt-out option, and utilities for handling GDPR requests from visitors. Cookieless tracking can be configured to avoid relying on cookies.
Set up the extension
Install and activate the plugin, then open Settings → Clicky Analytics. Enter your Site Key and Site ID, choose the tracking and privacy options for your site, and save the settings. You can then review statistics in the dashboard widget or custom dashboard. A POT file is available for translations.
