Document Embedder Pro: Control WordPress Document Access
Document Embedder Pro displays supported files inside WordPress posts and pages, so users can read them without leaving your site. Add PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, pictures, code files, and other supported formats by uploading them, selecting them from the Media Library, or entering a file URL. The URL can point to a cloud-hosted file.
Embed files for viewing in WordPress

The URL can point to a cloud-hosted file.
Use a Gutenberg block or shortcode to add a document. Configure responsive viewer dimensions for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Viewer choices include the default Google Viewer, a custom PDF viewer, an interactive flipbook, and a slideshow-style slider.
Access rules and secure PDF delivery
Set viewing and download access for logged-in users or selected visitor roles. Visitors who do not meet a viewing requirement can see a custom message. For local PDFs, secure delivery uses a signed link that expires and is bound to the visitor's IP address, so the page does not expose the file URL.
The Email Gate asks visitors for their name and email address before they download a file. Submissions appear in the Leads Dashboard, where you can search and filter them or export them as a CSV file. Download options include labels, placement, behavior, and filenames. Download counts and visitor limits are available for supported download workflows.
PDF overlays and lightboxes
Add notes, highlights, links, and call-to-action buttons over PDF pages. Percentage-based positioning helps keep these components aligned as visitors change the zoom level. Documents can also open in a lightbox modal triggered by a styled button, image, or another page element.
Choose Dark, Light, or Custom toolbar colors to suit the page layout.
Organize files in a document library
The Document Library module groups multiple files in a structured, responsive layout. Add files from your device, the Media Library, or a URL, then rename or delete them. Visitors can search and filter the library, and sort files by size, name, or recent upload. Configure view and download buttons, and choose whether the library displays icons, file details, dates, and action buttons.
