What does the Download Monitor Pro plan add?
Download Monitor manages downloadable files in WordPress, includes links to posts and pages, and tracks downloads. With the Pro plan, site managers can add extensions to select how files are presented, where they are hosted, and what users must do to access them.

Present files for visitors
The Buttons extension creates customizable download buttons. The Downloading Page extension serves downloads from a separate page. For document collections, Document Library Manage shows files in searchable tables or grids; visitors can sort and filter the listings, and site managers can adjust their styling.
Choose file sources and access rules
The Google Drive extension lets site managers use files hosted on Google Drive as Download Monitor files. Advanced Access Manager sets download limitations for individual downloads or across the site.
MailChimp Lock, Email Lock, and CAPTCHA add restrictions to downloads. Form extensions can require a submission before access:
- Gravity Forms Gated Content: Requires a Gravity Forms submission before access.
- Ninja Forms Lock: Requires a Ninja Forms submission before access.
- WPForms Gated Content: Requests submission of a form built with WPForms.
- Contact Form 7 Lock: Requires a Contact Form 7 submission before access.
Receive download notifications
The Email Notification extension can send an email whenever a file is downloaded. Alongside Download Monitor’s tracking, it lets site managers follow download activity and receive notices when files are accessed.
Set up downloads
Install Download Monitor on the WordPress site, then add files and make links or listings in posts and pages. Install the Pro extensions that fit the workflow, such as Buttons, Document Library Manage, Advanced Access Manager, or a lock extension. Configure the selected options, publish the download location, and consult the available documentation for setup and advanced topics.
