Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for WooCommerce Pro adds a multi-file uploader for purchases that need customer files, such as files, images or artwork. Customers can drag files into the upload area or select them through the standard file browser.
Choose where clients add files
Depending on the configuration, the uploader can appear on a WooCommerce product page or at checkout. On a single product page, position it in relation to the add-to-cart form, variations form, add-to-cart button or a single variation, and choose whether it appears before or after the relevant form components. Customers can upload through Ajax without reloading the page and remove an uploaded file before adding the product to the cart.
Set upload rules and presentation
Pro supports larger files and chunked uploads, which divide files into smaller parts to help avoid timeouts. Parallel upload controls let administrators limit simultaneous uploads. The Pro edition supports unlimited uploads, and administrators can also set file-count and size limits for each field.
- Set permitted file types or extensions and validate file types and sizes.
- Show picture thumbnails as previews.
- Control uploader visibility by category, product, tag or attribute.
- Customize colors, borders, icons, text and error messages in the plugin options.
The uploader is mobile responsive and compatible with browsers. Its display position and wording can be configured to suit the store.
Choose file names, folders and storage
Filename patterns can use the original filename, username, user ID, IP address or a random value. Administrators can change the default WordPress upload directory and choose custom folders based on order number, random numbers, date, time, customer first name or customer ID.
For storage, the add-on supports Google Drive, Amazon S3, Dropbox and FTP. ZIP archive creation is available for compressing uploaded files. With standard storage, uploaded files can be attached to order confirmation emails. That email option is not compatible with remote storage.
Review fees and order handling
Basic conditional fees can depend on the number of uploaded files or PDF pages. For example, a store can apply a charge at a file-count threshold or multiply a charge by the number of PDF pages. Administrators can remove or reject files from WooCommerce orders. Pro also supports WPML and Polylang translations.
Install and configure the uploader
- Install and activate WooCommerce and the file upload plugin.
- Confirm the store uses at least WooCommerce version 3.5.0.
- Open the file upload settings and configure restrictions, labels, messages and display rules.
- Choose the product, checkout location or form position for the uploader.
- Set storage, naming, folder, fee and email settings as required.
- Test file selection, validation, cart handling and order management before publishing.
