Choose a grid or masonry layout
A standard grid places posts in even rows and columns. Masonry arranges items of different heights closer together, which can reduce gaps when featured pictures vary in size. Responsive layouts adapt the display for desktop, tablet, and phone screens. Premium templates include layouts with up to four columns, plus settings to hide featured images or filter controls.
Set filters, images, and post details
Choose category filters, tag filters, or both. You can set thumbnail resolution, display or hide post titles, dates, authors, and other metadata, and select a second presentation for title, date, and author. Filter buttons support unlimited colors, and custom CSS lets you adjust styling.
- Five hover effects for post thumbnails
- Lightbox popups for featured images, with Swipebox integration
- Options to link images to their single post pages
- A Load More button that fetches additional posts without a page refresh
- Widget support for sidebar placement
Configure and place the grid
- Install and activate the add-on.
- Open Blog Filter Settings and pick the appearance and filtering options.
- Copy the generated shortcode.
- Paste it into a page, post, sidebar widget, or page builder section.
The shortcode-based display works with classic editors and modern page builders, including Elementor, Beaver Builder, and Divi.
Use cases and languages
Category and tag filters help readers browse blog articles, news sections, portfolio work, and magazine-style archives. Masonry can suit collections with varied featured image sizes, while the options to hide images or filters allow a simpler display.
Blog Filter supports Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. You can also translate it into another language using standard WordPress translation methods.
