Featured-image controls
- Show or hide featured images on desktop or mobile.
- Set visibility for individual posts and pages.
- Apply featured-image controls to custom post types.
Device settings handle show choices for different viewing contexts. Per-entry settings let you choose visibility for specific content.
Toolbar settings
Hide the front-end admin toolbar for specific user roles. Separate settings remove the WordPress logo and the “Howdy” greeting from the admin bar.
Theme and page-builder compatibility
The plugin works best with themes that use standard WordPress functions to display featured images. A theme that uses a custom method may not respond as expected. The add-on is currently not compatible with the Image widget in Elementor, Divi Builder, WPBakery, or similar page builders when the widget dynamically displays the featured image.
Installation
If the free version of WP Hide Show Featured Image is installed, deactivate and delete it before installing Pro. Install and activate the Pro plugin through WordPress, then open its settings to configure image visibility and toolbar options. Review the settings for device rules, individual content, and user roles. Check representative posts, pages, custom post types, and device views to confirm the theme displays the intended result.
The Pro feature list includes priority support and regular feature updates.
