Protect WordPress pages and content
Passster Pro extends Passster, a WordPress add-on for protecting pages, posts, selected sections, child pages, and an entire site with passwords. Add protected sections with a shortcode or block, and use cookies to grant access across multiple protected areas. The password form's styling, labels, and descriptions are customizable.
Page refresh is enabled by default after unlocking. Inline unlocking, which reveals content without a refresh, can be enabled in Advanced Unlock Behaviour.
Set access rules and manage passwords
Pro supports multiple passwords and password lists, so different users can have different credentials. Grant access by user role or email address, and apply protection to multiple pages with WordPress Quick Edit or Bulk Edit. Google reCAPTCHA, hCAPTCHA, and Turnstile are available as additional protection settings.
Set expiry limits and share unlock links
Passwords can expire after a set number of uses, on first use, or after a time interval measured in hours, days, or weeks. Password lists can also be set to expire at a specific date and time. Usage records display which passwords have been used and when they are due to expire.
Encrypted unlock links let visitors access protected content without entering a password. Links can be shortened automatically with Bit.ly. Passster Pro can also track and prevent concurrent password sharing.
Protect WooCommerce content and review usage
Protect WooCommerce pages, products, shop pages, and checkout. The WooCommerce integration can sell access to protected content, then generate and email passwords after purchase.
Password usage statistics show when and how often passwords are used. Reports can include the first usage date, optional IP information, and browser details, with statistics for passwords and password lists.
Configure the extension
Install Passster in WordPress and configure protection in the plugin settings. Select the areas to protect, choose passwords or access rules, and personalize the user-facing form. For larger batches, prepare password lists and apply settings with Quick Edit or Bulk Edit. Primary text can be modified in the administration area. Translation with .po/.mo documents and compatibility with WPML and Polylang are supported.
