ACF Field For CF7 Pro adds a Contact Form 7 form selector to Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). The field lists available forms so editors can select one without copying shortcode text. The saved selection can be used to show a form in its assigned page or content area.

Choose a form for each page

Assign the field to landing pages or service pages to select a form for each one. Pages can share a template and display various forms based on their saved selections. On multilingual sites, editors can choose a form for each language version. An ACF option page can hold a shared form choice for areas such as a header, footer, or sidebar.

Pro placement and selection controls

• Gutenberg: use Contact Form 7 forms in the WordPress block editor.
• Widgets and Theme Customizer: place forms in widget areas and Customizer panels.
• Optional selection: leave the field empty when a form is not needed.
• Disabled forms: mark forms as disabled so editors cannot select them.

Template output and developer use

For template-based display, add the saved ACF value to the relevant theme template with get_field('your_field_name'). To work with the form object, enable the acf_cf7_object filter with add_filter('acf_cf7_object', '__return_true'). The field then returns a WPCF7_ContactForm object through get_field().

Setup and requirements

Advanced Custom Fields and Contact Form 7 must both be active. Create an ACF field with the contact_form_7 type and add its output to the relevant theme template for template-based display.

1. Create a form in Contact Form 7.
2. Create an ACF field using the contact_form_7 field type.
3. Assign the field to the page, post, option page, widget, or supported Customizer location where it will be used.
4. Select a Contact Form 7 form from the dropdown and save the content.
5. Use the ACF value in the template where the form should appear.
