NP Quote Request for WooCommerce Premium Extension: How It Works
NP Quote Request for WooCommerce Premium Extension works with NP Quote Request for WooCommerce to manage quote requests alongside regular purchases. Stores can use normal checkout, Request for Quote (RFQ) checkout, or settings that let customers select between buying and requesting a quote under configured conditions.
Checkout and price visibility
Enable quote requests for selected simple or variable products, or for all product types. In normal checkout, customers can purchase products with visible prices and request quotes for eligible products. They can also submit selected products or their cart as a quote request. RFQ checkout routes products through the quote process; prices are hidden by default, with an option to show them.
Checkout settings can offer a purchase or quote request based on a minimum condition or the products in the cart. Other controls can hide prices and limit quote requests by visitor role or IP address. For eligible products in normal mode, you can show prices, hide add-to-cart controls, and allow quote requests. Customers can also complete checkout without payment so an administrator can convert the order to a quote request and email them.
Proposals and customer responses
A shop manager can add a proposal to a quote request, include an optional payment link, and set its status to “Quote Sent.” The customer receives an email notification and can follow the link to pay. Customers can submit a bid with a request and reply to a proposal with a note using the response link in the email. Order actions let staff resend quote confirmation and quote-sent emails. Quote expiration or cancellation can be configured by number of days.
Customer and staff controls
Customers can save favorite products for a later purchase or quote request. Add-to-Quote controls can include a quantity box on archive and category pages, and a shortcode with a quantity box is available. Staff mode can let sales staff see prices on the front end while logged in as customers, based on IP address.
Customize the quote request page, set additional required fields such as phone, ZIP, and state, and choose whether customers can create an account. Add custom HTML above or below the page content, create an inquiry widget, and adjust quote button colors and effects. Confirmation and proposal emails can include custom content, with further customization by product.
Administration and compatibility
Administrators can enable or disable RFQ for all products or for a category, set defaults for new products, create orders from RFQs, and view the RFQ list. The extension works with WooCommerce Product Add-ons and offers better integration with Astra and QuickView plugins. Other product option builders may integrate in RFQ mode; test compatibility with the free version first.
Setup
Install NP Quote Request for WooCommerce and add the Premium Extension to the WordPress website. Choose RFQ checkout, normal checkout, or both, then configure product eligibility, price visibility, required fields, email content, and proposal settings. Test a product request and the related customer and shop-manager notifications before using the workflow with customers.
