Paid Membership Subscriptions Pro connects WordPress membership plans with payments, member accounts, and rules for accessing content. Use it for paid services, online courses, coaching, consultancy, content hubs, private stores, associations, clubs, directories, or online communities.

Plans, payments, and member accounts

Create hierarchical plans for free or paid memberships, with custom durations and one-time or recurring payments through PayPal or Stripe. Plans can include a free trial or sign-up fee, or end after a set number of billing cycles. Members select a plan during registration and can manage subscriptions from their account, including upgrading, renewing, cancelling, or abandoning a plan. Discount codes can apply percentage or fixed-amount reductions to selected plans.

Front-end shortcodes and blocks provide forms for registration, login, account management, payment history, and password recovery. For example, [pms-register] adds a registration form where users can select a membership plan, and [pms-account] displays the member account area. Administrators can review member plans and payment statuses, edit subscription details, and export member or payment entries to CSV.

Content and product access

Restrict posts, pages, custom post types, or parts of a page according to login status or subscription plan. Gutenberg blocks and the Elementor integration provide additional ways to control access to page content. Navigation Menu Filtering can show menu entries according to a visitor’s login status and selected plan.

The WooCommerce integration can limit shop and product viewing or purchases to members, set product discounts by plan, and let clients buy subscription plans through WooCommerce Checkout. Configure WooCommerce when your membership setup needs these product or checkout rules.
