Manage the cart while browsing

Modern Cart Pro adds a side cart, also called a cart drawer or sliding cart, that opens on the current page when a shopper adds a product or selects the floating cart icon. Stores can select a centered popup cart instead. The default WooCommerce cart page remains available for compatibility.

AJAX handles adding products, removing entries, and changing quantities without reloading the page. Totals update as the cart changes. The floating cart icon stays in the corner of each page and displays a live item-count badge, giving shoppers a way to open the cart as they view.

Cart changes and available options

Modern Cart Pro can show product recommendations inside the cart, including upsells and cross-sells. Recommendations are also available when the cart is empty.

A free shipping progress bar shows how close the cart is to the store's free-shipping threshold. A separate rewards bar can display custom milestones, such as a free gift, discount, or another incentive. Both progress indicators update as products are added or removed.

The built-in coupon form lets shoppers enter and apply discount codes in the side cart, with totals updating without a page reload. Modern Cart can also work with Power Coupons for WooCommerce for auto-apply and rule-based discounts. Express checkout is included in the Pro edition.

Cart layout and product support

Color controls, custom icon uploads, and cart width options let stores adjust the cart's presentation. The plugin works with simple, variable, grouped, and subscription products. Variable product attributes and subscription details display in the side cart.

Compatible themes include Astra, Spectra, Blocksy, Kadence, GeneratePress, OceanWP, Hello Elementor, Storefront, Bricks Builder, Flatsome, Hestia, and Neve. Listed builder and extension compatibility includes Elementor, Gutenberg, CartFlows, WooCommerce Subscriptions, and Cart Abandonment Recovery for WooCommerce.

Setup and admin information

Configure Modern Cart Pro's cart settings in the WordPress dashboard. Setup includes choosing the side cart or popup presentation, enabling the floating cart icon, and configuring the available recommendations, coupons, progress bars, express checkout, and display controls. Shoppers can then review and update their items before continuing to checkout.

The admin area provides changelog and knowledge base information. To retrieve these materials, the plugin makes read-only requests to CartFlows services; no user data is sent for these requests.
