Configure login protection
Install and activate Limit Login Attempts Security, then configure its login security settings. To use Premium, upgrade and review the cloud protection, lockout synchronization, multi-site, and support settings. Test the login and registration paths used on your site, including WooCommerce or custom forms where relevant.
Controls for one site
Premium uses real-time malicious IP intelligence, global denylist protection, automatic IP denylist generation, and cloud-based mitigation to help handle login attacks. Enhanced throttling and lockout escalation add controls for repeated attempts. Administrators can also block logins by country, protect registration pages, track successful logins, and review lockout analytics with geolocation data.
Rules shared across websites
Sites in the same cloud account can synchronize lockouts and share IP safelists and denylists. Cloud backups retain IP security data, and CSV exports let administrators review login and IP activity. Premium users can unlock themselves from the cloud dashboard.
Login paths and monitoring
The plugin supports WordPress and WooCommerce login pages, XML-RPC login requests, custom login forms that use standard WordPress login hooks, and multisite networks. It is compatible with Wordfence, Sucuri, Ultimate Member, MemberPress, WPS Hide Login, and Cloudflare or reverse proxy setups. For proxy-based sites, review the trusted IP origin configuration so user addresses are identified correctly.
Administrators can review failed and denied login attempts, lockouts, and retries. The extension also supports IP and username safelists and denylists, IPv6 ranges, custom IP origin settings, and lockout email notifications. Its scope is login security; it does not scan site files for malware. Premium includes priority support from security specialists.
