Custom Shipping Methods for WooCommerce Pro lets you create shipping methods with a rate formula and rules for when each method appears at checkout. Use cart details to calculate the charge, then set conditions that match the products and orders you ship.
Calculate a rate from cart details
Add shortcodes to a method’s cost calculation formula:
[qty]for the number of items in the cart[cost]for the total cost of cart items[weight]for total cart weight[volume]for total cart volume[fee]for percentage-based fees[round]for rounding
Combine these values to calculate rates that reflect the order’s contents and value.
Choose which carts qualify
Set minimum and maximum limits for cart cost, weight, volume, and quantity. A method can require or exclude specific products, product categories, or product tags. These rules determine whether the shipping option is available for a given cart.
Set costs by shipping class
Assign costs to product shipping classes, including products without a shipping class. Choose whether to charge per class or per order, and whether limits are checked per class, per order, or across all items.
Add distance and free-shipping rules
Pro includes the [distance] shortcode for distance-based cost calculations. Use [costs_table] for table rate shipping; its costs are calculated using the Google Distance Matrix API. You can also set minimum and maximum distance availability for a method.
Set a minimum order amount for free shipping or select products that qualify. Pro also delivers minimum and maximum cost limits for shipping methods.
Set the checkout display
Shipping methods can have frontend icons and descriptions. Create icon templates to display beside a method title, and add custom HTML text for cases where the shipping cost is zero. A custom return URL can send clients to a page other than the standard WooCommerce “Order received” page.
