Advanced Post Block Pro is a Gutenberg block add-on for selecting and displaying WordPress posts, pages, and custom post types in structured, responsive layouts. It gives blogs, magazines, news sites, and other content-heavy WordPress websites controls for choosing what appears in a section and how it is presented.

Content selection and loading

Choose a post type, then filter by category, tag, author, keyword, or custom taxonomy. Set ordering and offsets, or include and exclude exact posts by ID. Pro query presets offer quicker configurations for Popular, Random, Sticky, Most Comments, Related Posts, and other supported selections.

Readers can browse results using pagination, previous and next navigation, load more controls, or infinite scroll. AJAX-based loading can add posts without reloading the page. Post view tracking and popularity sorting can help highlight frequently viewed content.

Which layout fits the section?

The Pro Template Library includes layouts that can be imported from the editor toolbar. Search templates, filter by category or Free/Pro status, preview them, and save favorites in a dedicated tab. Available options include Grid 1, Timeline, List Left/Right Even-Odd, and Overlay Content Box sub-layouts.

Timeline shows can run vertically or horizontally. Set the maximum width, line width, and dot style, position, and size. Dates can appear inline, in the gutter, or on a badge, with year and month grouping available.

Accordion and ticker controls

Accordion themes include With Thumbnail, Numbered FAQ, Split Panel, and Minimal Lines. Choose whether multiple panels can stay open, set the animation speed, choose from 12 additional indicator icon sets, and apply Lift or Zoom hover animations.

Ticker controls set direction, speed, interval, height, visible post count, and whether the ticker pauses when a pointer hovers over it. News ticker settings also include its label, theme, type, and animation. These options fit headlines, announcements, compact news bars, and long lists.

Display settings in the block editor

Set the visibility of featured images, titles, metadata, excerpts, and read more links. Metadata can display the date, author, and categories. Adjust alignment, typography, padding, colors, borders, shadows, hover animation, and backgrounds, with responsive behavior for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. Shortcode support lets you display post blocks in other site placements.

Add a post block

1. Open a page or post in the WordPress block editor.
2. Select the plus icon and find Advanced Post Block in its category.
3. Add the block, choose a Pro layout or template, and select the post type and query settings.
4. Configure display, filtering, and design options, then save or publish.
