Arrange menus and links
Drag menu entries to reorder them or place them in another submenu. Pro also lets you move items between menu levels. Change menu titles, URLs, icons, and CSS classes; show or hide menus and individual items; and make custom menus that point to Dashboard areas or external URLs. You can also set menus to open in a new window and export a menu configuration.
Choose who can see each menu
Menu permissions can use a required capability or role. Pro adds per-role permissions and an option to hide a menu from everyone except a specific visitor. A menu hidden outright is invisible to all users, including administrators. Use access permissions or the specific-user option when selected users should retain access.
Manage related admin tasks
Create login, logout, and registration redirects, with settings for specific roles or users and a default redirect. Redirect URLs can include shortcodes, though not every shortcode works in that context. The Content Permissions box lets you allow or deny access to specific posts by role, including individual read, edit, and delete permissions. You can choose what visitors without access see, such as replacement content, an error, a 404 response, or a redirect.
You can hide add-ons from other users on the Installed Plugins page and edit the display name, description, and other extension details shown there. These edits change how plugin information appears on the page; they do not modify plugin files.
Use the utility shortcodes
The shortcodes work in posts and pages and can also help create redirects:
[ame-wp-admin]outputs the WordPress Dashboard URL with a trailing slash.[ame-home-url]outputs the website URL.[ame-user-info field="..."]displays supported information about a logged-in user, such as their ID, login, display name, locale, or user URL.
The user information shortcode accepts an optional placeholder for visitors who are not logged in. Its encoding option supports auto (the default), html, attr, js, or none, which can help when using its output in custom HTML or JavaScript.
Install and review access
Install and activate Admin Menu Editor Pro in WordPress, then open Settings → Menu Editor to configure the menus, permissions, redirects, and other controls. Review the resulting access for each role before assigning the configuration. Deleted default menus reappear after saving by styling; hide them or change their access permissions to remove them from view.
