Saved addresses for repeat checkout
Address Book Pro for WooCommerce lets customers save multiple billing and shipping addresses, then select one during Classic WooCommerce checkout. They can add an address during checkout or update saved entries in the My Account area. This helps shoppers who use various billing details or delivery locations.
Customer address book settings
Store administrators configure the address book under WooCommerce > Settings > Address Book. Options include:
- Enable billing and shipping address books
- Make Add New Address the default selection
- Allow billing or shipping address nicknames during checkout
- Limit the number of billing addresses each user can save
- Enable or disable import and export
When import and export are enabled, customers can import or export saved addresses. Nicknames help distinguish entries during checkout.
Address books in order administration
The Pro edition lets administrators select a customer’s saved address when adding an order in WooCommerce administration. Administrators can also manage a customer’s address book from the customer’s user profile.
Checkout and custom field limits
The plugin supports the Classic WooCommerce checkout. WooCommerce Block Checkout is not currently supported. Customers can shop multiple shipping addresses, but a single order cannot go to multiple locations. To send an order to several destinations, customers need to place separate orders.
The plugin uses standard WooCommerce address functions, so standard methods for modifying address fields continue to apply. The compatibility notes also cite standard filters and WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor as tested. Most standard custom fields work. Fields added by another plugin and updated through JavaScript may not always populate correctly. If a field behaves this way, review its implementation and compatibility with the plugin that includes it.
Installation and setup
Install the plugin on a site using the Classic WooCommerce checkout, then open WooCommerce > Settings > Address Book. Enable the billing and shipping address books, configure the available settings, and set any address limits or import and export preferences the store needs.
