Set update scope and timing
Select which update types to search for and apply. In automatic mode, exclude specific plugins and themes, including inactive ones. You can also disable WordPress core automatic updates when you need to manage core updates separately. Scheduled searches and updates run when the site is active, so work may be delayed until website activity resumes.
Back up files and database tables
Updater Pro can make file and database backups before applying updates. Backup options include all folders and all tables. You can enable automatic deletion of old backups to limit their buildup.
Configure email notices
Set a recipient address and personalize the sender field. Notifications can report available versions and update results. The extension sends notices when updates are available; if there are no updates, you will not receive an update notification. Delivery depends on the WordPress site and server email configuration. If messages do not arrive, check the extension settings and configure an SMTP plugin if needed.
Envato products and translations
Updater Pro supports products purchased on Envato. The plugin is multilingual and RTL ready. Listed translations include Russian, Ukrainian, French, Italian, Arabic, German, and Spanish; some translations may be incomplete.
Install and configure
Install and activate the plugin in WordPress, then open its settings. Choose an update mode and types, set the frequency, configure notification details, and select any exclusions and backup options. Installation instructions, a visitor guide, and videos are available for setup assistance.
