Choose how checkout appears
Use an embedded form or an overlay that appears on your website, or pick hosted Stripe Checkout. On-site forms keep the payment form on your site. Stripe Checkout delivers a hosted payment flow optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
A drag-and-drop builder lets you add custom fields, billing or shipping addresses, and file uploads. You can also let clients enter a payment amount, with minimum and default amounts available for custom amounts. This can suit donations or other pay-what-you-want offers.
Set payment and subscription terms
Create forms for one-time payments, recurring payments, donations, or installment plans. Pro includes controls for subscription offers, including customer-managed subscriptions through Stripe, renewal reminders, custom billing periods, and cancellation messages. Recurring payments are also available in the Lite version.
- Apply coupon codes and manage tax rates.
- Send custom payment receipt emails.
- Charge an initial setup fee or offer a free trial.
- Split payments into installments.
Offer payment methods for your customers
Custom forms support Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with ACH direct debit for U.S. bank accounts, SEPA for Europe, Bacs Direct Debit for the U.K., Bancontact, GrabPay, Klarna, and Afterpay or Clearpay. Availability depends on the payment method and Stripe account.
Stripe Checkout supports additional methods, including Alipay, WeChat Pay, BECS Direct Debit, BLIK, FPX, Giropay, iDEAL, MobilePay, PIX, Przelewy24, and PromptPay. Its listed capabilities include more than 30 languages, 45 countries, and 135 currencies. Checkout forms are described as PCI compliant and SCA-ready. Stripe Radar provides fraud protection and spam prevention.
Review payments and connect utilities
The WordPress dashboard provides transaction and subscription lists with search and filters. One-time payments can be exported, and full or partial refunds can be issued from a transaction detail view. Subscription records include renewal information; existing Stripe subscriptions are imported in the background.
Start from a payment form template or build a custom integration with the developer tools. Integrations include AffiliateWP and the Divi and Elementor page builders.
Fees and setup
Connect the plugin to Stripe, create a form, choose its payment type, add the needed fields and settings, and place it on your site. WP Simple Pay Pro has no added per-transaction extension fee; Stripe processing fees still apply. The Lite version adds a 3% plugin fee per transaction in addition to Stripe fees.
