WP All Import Pro works with the WooCommerce add-on to import product catalogs from XML, CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, and URL sources. Files can use different structures, so they do not need a fixed layout or specific column names before import.

Sources and field mapping

Upload XML, CSV, or Excel files, or provide a URL to download data. Google Sheets can be imported by URL, and external websites protected by HTTP authentication are supported. Product feeds can also come from FTP or SFTP. Excel columns are detected automatically. If special characters cause problems in a CSV import, UTF-8 encoding is recommended; CSV column names can also be edited when needed.

The import screen places WooCommerce fields beside a table of source data. Drag incoming values to the fields they belong in, then run the import and review the products. The add-on includes mapping for product images, attributes, categories, tags, and other taxonomies. Use its Attributes tab to map incoming attribute values to WooCommerce product attribute fields.

Product types and variations

• Import external or affiliate products and grouped products.
• Work with variable products. Importing variations from XML requires properly formatted XML.
• Add new variations to existing variable products through the WooCommerce Products import process.

Recurring updates and large files

With cron jobs or recurring imports, WP All Import Pro can check a source file for changes and add, edit, or delete imported products, or update their stock status, according to the incoming data. Large files are split into chunks. The product description states that it supports files of practically unlimited size and cites catalogs over 200 MB, including on shared hosting.

Custom data processing

The Pro edition can run custom PHP functions on imported data. A value from an XML field can be passed to a function in the import template, and the function's returned value can be used in the mapped data.

Import workflow

1. Go to All Import > New Import.
2. Upload the file or select an available URL source.
3. Select WooCommerce Products as the import type.
4. Map incoming data to WooCommerce product fields with drag and drop.
5. Run the import and verify the imported products.

Installation and support

Install WP All Import, then add the WooCommerce add-on to the WordPress site where the catalog will be managed. The Pro edition is a paid upgrade that includes access to a customer portal with documentation and tutorials, premium support, and email technical support.
