Set up taxonomies for your content

TaxoPress Pro manages WordPress taxonomies and terms, including those registered by WordPress, themes, or add-ons. Create taxonomies, edit their options and visual labels, pick parent-child organization, and assign taxonomies to post types. For example, you can make Categories available on Pages or use WooCommerce Tags on Posts. The add-on can also manage WooCommerce Product Categories and bbPress Topic Tags.

Term utilities let you add, rename, remove, delete, and merge terms, with an option to delete unused terms.

Automate term assignment and archive links

Auto Terms checks post titles and content for specified terms, then assigns matching terms from a selected taxonomy. Choose the post types and terms to use. You can apply the process to existing content or have new content scanned.

Auto Links looks for term mentions in content and adds links to the corresponding term archive pages. In the post editor, you can manage terms already attached to a post, request suggestions based on terms on your website, or browse all terms in a taxonomy.

Review AI suggestions and connect terms

TaxoPress Pro integrates with OpenAI, IBM Watson, and other services. Once connected, these services can scan content and suggest relevant existing or new taxonomy terms. Review the suggestions and apply the terms that fit your taxonomy.

Term Synonyms associates alternate words with a main term. When a content scan finds a configured synonym, it treats the match as the main term. Linked Terms connects terms so that adding a main term to a post also adds its linked terms.

Display terms and related posts

• Terms Display: Create a customizable list or cloud of terms from one taxonomy.
• Terms for Current Post: Customize how terms assigned to the current post appear.
• Related Posts: Show posts with shared taxonomy terms. Posts with more terms in common are more likely to appear.
• Tag Clouds: Present taxonomy terms in a visual show.

Term displays and related posts can be added with shortcodes or widgets, or configured for automatic insertion where supported. Display formats can also use custom CSS styles.
