Configure icons, actions, and networks

Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons Premium adds ways to connect WordPress content with social platforms and other destinations. Choose icons for services such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, along with email and RSS. A general Share option covers more than 200 additional social platforms, while Premium adds choices such as Snapchat, WhatsApp, Yelp, Reddit, Vimeo, Telegram, Spotify, Twitch, Discord, GitHub, Etsy, Patreon, and Print.

An icon can have more than one action, such as linking to a Facebook page and allowing visitors to like it. Premium also works with following a Facebook page without leaving the site and setting Tweet text to include post titles automatically. The email icon can be configured for sharing by email, contacting you, or linking to a chosen page.

Choose appearance and placement

Premium includes additional icon styles and themed designs, such as social logos styled for a site about cats. You can also upload custom icons. Optional animations include automatic shuffling and mouse-over effects, and counters can appear beside social icons.

Set where icons appear, including selected pages where they should be hidden. Placement controls include anchors and margins, with floating or sticky behavior as visitors scroll. You can choose separate network selections for mobile and add sharing or linking icons beside or after blog posts.

Prompts and subscription options

Configure a follow-or-share pop-up for the whole site or selected pages. Premium offers additional display controls, including limits on how often a person sees the pop-up and an option to display it when someone is about to leave. An optional email subscription form gives visitors another way to subscribe to the blog.

Setup sequence

After installing and activating the plugin in WordPress, use its options to configure the icons in this order:

1. Choose which social icons to display.
2. Define the actions for each icon.
3. Select designs and animation options.
4. Add counters if needed.
5. Choose placement and sharing options, such as floating or sticky icons.
6. Optionally add icons beside or after blog posts.
7. Configure a follow-or-share pop-up.
8. Optionally add an email subscription form.
