Choose a tracking library and delivery options
Minimal Analytics 4 is a lightweight alternative to Google Analytics’ default library for sites focused on basic pageview analytics. CAOS Pro can also preconnect to Google Analytics to reduce request latency. Other options let you set cookie expiry, force-disable display capabilities and track logged-in administrators. Downloaded documents can be renamed to random strings to help avoid ad blockers.
Keep analytics and cookie tools compatible
Compatibility Mode lets other Google Analytics add-ons use the locally hosted file. Listed examples include MonsterInsights Pro, ExactMetrics, Site Kit by Google, WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration, WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro and Analytify.
CAOS supports compatibility with cookie notice plugins such as Complianz, CookieYes, WP Cookie Notice, Cookie Notice & Compliance, and Cookie Notice & Consent Banner. CAOS Pro also includes Cloudflare Compatibility Mode.
Review privacy and affiliate settings
Randomize Client ID is described as providing each visitor with a fresh, untraceable UUID or Client ID. Stealth Mode uses a customized API for WordPress to anonymize visitor data before sending it to Google. These options change how analytics data is handled, so consider them alongside your tracking and cookie configuration. CAOS Pro also includes cloaked affiliate link tracking.
