Restrict Premium controls WordPress content access
Restrict Premium controls who can view content and selected site areas in WordPress. Rules can apply to everyone, logged-in visitors, a chosen user role or capability, or the author of a post or page. They can also use a specified URL parameter, referring website, or cookie. For each rule, choose whether qualifying visitors see the content or have it hidden.
Set access by audience and visitor details
Restrict Premium controls who can view content and selected site areas in WordPress. Rules can apply to everyone, logged-in visitors, a chosen user role or capability, or the author of a post or page. They can also use a specified URL parameter, referring website, or cookie. For each rule, choose whether qualifying visitors see the content or have it hidden.
These conditions cover membership access and cases where visibility depends on how a visitor arrived. URL, referrer, and cookie rules require the relevant visitor detail to match the condition you set.
Choose what the rule covers
Set default visibility for an entire post type, or use shortcodes to restrict part or all of an individual post or page. In the block editor, each Gutenberg block has a Restrict panel. The Restricted Content container block applies a rule to a group of blocks and can include an optional custom message. You can also restrict complete post categories.
Widgets, menus, and login forms
Show or conceal widgets for different users. Menu entries can be shown or hidden for logged-in users, selected roles, users with a specific capability, or logged-out visitors. You can place a login form on posts and pages using either the Gutenberg editor or the Classic Editor.
Purchase conditions and redirects
Restrict Premium integrates with Tickera, Venuera, WooCommerce, and Easy Digital Downloads. Depending on the connected service, access rules can match users who made any purchase, bought a specified product, purchased a ticket, bought a ticket for a particular event, or selected a specific ticket type. WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads can also provide limited-time access after a specified product purchase.
With Simple URLs, you can apply Restrict criteria to a redirect. If a visitor does not qualify, choose to show a specific page or send them to another URL.
Site-wide controls
Site Lock limits the entire website to logged-in users. Restrict Premium can also limit REST API access to logged-in users and includes a white label option for a less branded administration experience.
Installation and setup
Install Restrict Premium in WordPress, then configure rules for the content or website elements you want to control. Select an audience or integration-based condition, decide whether to show or hide the item, and add an optional restricted-content message where available. The plugin documentation covers content restrictions, WooCommerce integration, Simple URLs, and related settings.
