Ultimate Post List Pro is a paid WordPress edition for building customized previews of website content. It provides a options-based way to place post lists in widget areas and post content without editing templates or writing programming code. Use it to promote articles, pages, and other content in a vertical list or responsive grid.

The Pro version includes the options available in Ultimate Post List and adds further controls for layouts, numbered lists, colors, custom post types, and more. Flexible list placement and presentation

Insert lists as widgets in available widget areas using drag and drop, or place them in post content through configurable shortcodes. Developers can also call upl_get_html() in PHP code. The add-on supports multiple widgets, with each Ultimate Post List instance keeping its own settings. Lists can be duplicated with a single click, which helps when several shows share a similar structure.

Control the content shown

Configure the number of posts, set an offset, hide the currently viewed post, and place sticky posts at the top. Sort results by post date, title, or author, with ascending or descending order. Filters can select post types and multiple categories, while custom post type filtering is available in Pro.

Each list can show or hide thumbnails, titles, dates, author names, and excerpts. You can arrange the position of these components, set titles and title URLs, choose the HTML element used for the list title, and define the text shown when no posts are available. Post titles can be shortened with a maximum length and added ending text.

Useful user controls

Enable a “Load more posts” link or button to load additional results without leaving the page, and control the text displayed for that action. Link settings can make titles, thumbnails, dates, authors, or excerpts clickable. Post links can also be configured to open in new windows. Date formatting includes more than 100 available options.

Installation and setup

Install and activate Ultimate Post List Pro in WordPress, then create a list and configure its content filters, layout, display fields, links, and appearance. Add the finished list as a widget, place its shortcode in post content, or use upl_get_html() in PHP code. Duplicate an existing list when you need another display with related settings.
