Manage LearnDash progress and course access

Uncanny Toolkit Pro extends Uncanny Toolkit for LearnDash with modules for course completion, access rules, learner records, group workflows, navigation and administration. It requires PHP 7.4 or higher and LearnDash 4.2 or higher. The add-on is translation ready and multisite capable.

Automate completion and course steps

Automatically mark lessons and topics complete when learners visit them, submit a form through Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, Gravity Forms or WPForms, reach quiz results with a passing mark, or have an associated quiz manually graded. Global completion settings can be overridden for individual lessons and topics, and the Mark Complete buttons can be removed.

Quiz workflows can advance learners to the next course step after they select “Click here to continue” on a quiz results page. Single Page Courses have no associated lessons and move the Mark Complete button to the course level. Learners can reset all activity for a course when they need to retake it.

Set access rules and guide learners

Restrict Page Access can control access to any page according to whether a visitor is logged in, course enrollment, group membership or user role. When access is denied, the site can display a message or redirect the user. Not Enrolled Redirect can send non-admin users to a designated destination, such as a course sales page.

Course breadcrumbs cover courses, lessons, topics and quizzes. Learners can resume at the course, lesson or topic they last visited. Other navigation modules add an AJAX course tree, login and logout links, redirects after sign-in or sign-out, and menu visibility rules based on sign-in status. The tree can be useful on large courses when the native LearnDash navigation widget extends page load time.

Support learners and manage groups

The Course Dashboard shows enrolled courses and gives learners access to lessons, topics, quizzes, quiz results and certificates. Enhanced course and lesson or topic grids can display course content on the front end or in a learner dashboard. Learner Transcripts add printable front-end records of course progress and overall standing. Certificate utilities display earned course, quiz and group certificates, preview certificates in the editor, and allow admins and Group Leaders to download certificates in bulk. Certificate email modules send course, group or quiz certificates and can save certificate copies on the server.

Group tools can set lesson and topic availability by LearnDash Group instead of applying the same dates to all enrolled users. Group Expiration removes a group’s course enrollment on its specified date and can send reminder emails. Group members can use group-specific bbPress forums; other modules add group login redirects, logos, group lists and registration links. A unique registration URL can assign a user to a group, and users can add or change groups by visiting group URLs.

Import Users creates or updates accounts from a CSV file and can assign users to courses and groups, including through custom user fields. Enhanced LearnDash CSV Reports add custom user and course meta columns to course reports. Duplicate Pages and Posts can clone pages, posts, courses, lessons, topics and quizzes.

Track time and handle administration

Simple Course Timer tracks time in LearnDash courses, lessons and topics and detects when a user is idle. It adds course completion time and total course time to LearnDash reports. The module can block quiz access until a learner has spent a minimum amount of time in a course.

User Switching lets authorized users switch between accounts for testing and troubleshooting. Hide Admin Bar can hide the WordPress Admin Bar according to user role. While Disable Emails is active, WordPress and add-ons that use native WordPress email functions cannot send messages, which is useful on development and staging websites.

Installation and configuration

Install and activate Uncanny Toolkit Pro on a WordPress website that meets the PHP 7.4 or higher and LearnDash 4.2 or higher requirements. Configure modules for the site’s course structure, learner roles, access rules, connected forms and reporting needs. Depending on the feature, settings can be applied through module options, shortcodes, widgets or supported LearnDash workflows.
