Profile Builder PRO brings front-end account forms, user profiles and access rules together in WordPress. Registration and profile forms collect user details; role and login settings control access to content. The add-on can be used for communities, associations, course sites, news and resource websites, business or member directories, job boards, consultancy services, private websites and members-only stores. Profile fields added on the front end are also visible in the WordPress back end.

Forms and profile fields

Create registration, login, edit profile, logout and password recovery forms, then add them to pages with plugin blocks or shortcodes such as [wppb-register], [wppb-login], [wppb-edit-profile], [wppb-logout] and [wppb-recover-password]. Multiple registration forms can collect different fields for selected user roles, while multiple edit profile forms can serve different purposes.

Extra field types include hidden inputs, agreement checkboxes, WYSIWYG editors, upload fields, international telephone inputs, role, country, timezone, currency, custom post type and taxonomy selectors, maps, HTML, phone, date and time pickers, color pickers and custom validation. Conditional fields display inputs according to a user’s selections. AJAX form processing supports the forms, and repeater fields let users add repeatable fields or groups. Progress bars can be added to registration and edit profile forms.

Directories, roles and access

Create customizable front-end user listings and member directories with sorting. Multiple listings can serve different audiences, and a map can display user locations. The built-in role editor lets administrators add, edit, remove or clone user roles and capabilities.

Restrict content according to user role or logged-in status. These rules can cover individual content, WooCommerce shop pages or products, and an entire private site. Admin approval lets new users be approved from the dashboard or by email.

Account settings and extensions

Profile Builder PRO supports email confirmation, customized user emails, login with a username, email address or either, WordPress password requirements, invisible reCAPTCHA, GDPR consent collection and customizable form designs. Premium add-ons can place fields in columns, synchronize WooCommerce shipping and billing fields, provide social login through Facebook, Google, Twitter(X) or LinkedIn, and create multi-step registration or edit profile forms. Listed integrations and extensions also include MailPoet, bbPress and BuddyPress profile fields. Premium support and documentation are included.
